How this website handles your data.
Short version: no cookies, no tracking, and the contact form is used only to answer you.

Who is responsible for your data
This website, baverok.com, is run by Baver Ok, a freelance SEO, AI search and WordPress specialist based in Zwijndrecht, near Antwerp, Belgium. I am the controller of the personal data described on this page. You can reach me about anything on this page through the contact form.
What I collect, and why
When you use the contact form. The form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, the website you need help with and a message. I use this information only to answer your request, prepare your free site check and, if you want, discuss working together.
The legal basis is your request itself: processing is needed to take steps you asked for before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). I do not use your details for newsletters or marketing, and I do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.
When you simply visit the site. Like every website, the server that delivers the pages receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. This is needed to show you the site and keep it secure (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies and tracking
This website does not place cookies in your browser for normal visitors, and it does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking. If that changes, this page will be updated first and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
Services that process data for this site
- Hostinger hosts the website and its database.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site to deliver pages quickly and block attacks; it processes your IP address and technical request data.
- Wordfence, a WordPress security plugin, checks requests for attacks and may log IP addresses of suspicious traffic.
- WPForms handles the contact form, and the message is delivered to me by email through WP Mail SMTP.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser loads them from Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address.
- jsDelivr supplies the code library for the animation on the homepage; your browser loads it from jsDelivr’s network.
- Hostinger Reach, Hostinger’s email marketing tool, loads a script on the site. There are no sign-up forms on the site, so it does not collect your email address.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long I keep your data
I keep contact form messages only as long as needed to answer you and follow up. If we do not start working together, I delete them within 12 months. If we do work together, I keep what is needed for the project and for legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, send a request through the contact form and I will answer within one month.
If you think your data is not handled properly, you can also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), dataprotectionauthority.be.
Changes to this page
When the website or the tools behind it change, I update this page and the date at the top.
